October Newsletter
We are now in Autumn and there are some fabulous colours from nature - we are surrounded by some beautiful trees here, it certainly makes me feel in the 'vintage' style mood.  So the big question is 'Have you started crafting for Christmas?'  I have to say I have not, although having just completed a bookmark swap I shall definitely be making some bookmarks for stocking fillers.
Stop by the forum on November 7th and have a look at the BIG weekend challenge....it will give your Christmas a kick start - this time H is organising, it would be lovely if you join us and play.

For everything mentioned in this newsletter click through to the Crafts by Carolyn web site check out the "what's new" link if you want to see the latest pages.

New for October.....
New Projects
- PG Tips Box
We have been lucky this month with members of the forum busy writing projects.  Maddy has put together a fantastic step by step guide to 'alter' a PG Tips box into a gift box, with three different finishes.  It was presented to us as a challenge and the winners were all sent stamps from The Artistic Stamper (me included) and Maddy sent a prize as well - so we all had a great time. A BIG thank you to Maddy

New Projects - Rubber stamped card
Sarah is showing us how to make a card using a rubber stamped background, the stamp is from Dew Drop Craftz

Planning a Wedding?
If you are thinking of doing some crafting for a wedding or big occasion I have set up a new section dedicated to this subject.  I hope that we can add some more ideas over the coming months.

Brand New Robo Files (gsd) Downloads.
I have had another play with the Robo and have produced a party dress project and also some welded Christmas words.

Word Templates
I have added a new section with a few templates in Word that have been linked on the forum.  It includes inserts for some standard size cards.

Using items around the house
We had a great thread where everyone suggested items that were in the house that made great substitutions for the 'real' thing from a craft shop.  Check out the page!

Sponsors
We have been lucky enough to get some sponsors for the next 6 months - there is a full list of them on the site and on the forum and here. Check out the forum they often offer special deals to forum members.

Comments or Suggestions
If you have any comments or suggestions for new features or projects, or even activities on the forum it would be lovely to hear from you.

Competition
Dew Drop Craftz has just launched a competition to win a stamp making system... this time in the form of the new 'Stamp it' kit....check out the forum for the details - what a fab prize

Forum
Stamping is still a hot topic on the forum, and Calv has just written a page on how to use distress inks.  It is amazing how much you can learn - just by asking a simple question.

We are a friendly bunch and love to welcome new members.  There are always activities ranging from challenges and competitions to a variety of swaps.  There are weekly challenges  launched on Thursdays with occasional ones in between....so go on share your creations with us, and you may even win a prize.  There is also a gallery if you want somewhere to post your pictures.

Regular members can now post and let us know if they have updated their blog with something interesting.

Swaps include rubber stamped images, cards, die cuts and ATCs...and just completed is a bookmark swap.
